Old Economy Village

 Today we went on a field trip with other homeschoolers to "Old Economy Village".  The Harmony Society was started at the first of the 19th century by a fellow named George Rapp.  Much of the village is still intact today even though no "Harmonists" are left.  They have left behind a legacy of how productive/non-productive a communial society can be. 

Our tour guide was very informative.

Preparations for an Old Fashioned Sunday

For quite a few years our family has participated in Warren Baptist Temple's Old Fashioned Sunday. 

As you can see from his facial expression Levi was having trouble getting his suspenders to work!

...but we are enjoying the weather!

The boys have been mowing, mowing, and mowing.

The breeze is perfect for clothes drying!

All these pretty flowers, green grass, and everything else that comes with Spring is a blessing!
