This and that

Legend has it that when Sarah and I were little we would look in the mirror and point to each other and say our own names.  And then we would laugh.  Yes, folks!  Most of the time we get a kick out of you all not being able to tell us apart.  Ya, I said most of the time. Sometimes we just let out a frustrated sigh and move on with life!

Yes, she still is our dog and no, she has not learned that jumping at people is bad.

Aren't you glad that you don't see that in the mirror every morning?!

The Whalen Plantation Greenhouse.  This is where Mum and Dad spend the majority of their spring. I think it's the cutest thing ever!

Dad rigged this contraption up over the summer. It's a homemade canner.  The brownish looking thing on the bottom holds a roaring fire and the silver sink on top can hold above the average amount of canning jars.

Your truly.  No, I'm not sucking my thumb.

Mum is an awesome painter

This is part of our porch swing.  We found out this summer that if you squish to many people on it. It kinda looses connection from the porch roof and meets the cement porch.  Ya, a few of the kids found that out while sitting quietly on it.

Old Fashioned Day

This was taken a while back. He's ready to go swimming!

For the kid who litters our house with paper airplanes, a trip to the Air Museum was a highlight.

Blessed by the gracious giving of others

Apple pie filling, boy do they look pretty!

Riah's 17th Birthday Party

Uriah turned 17 this past Saturday.  We were able to have the family down to help him celebrate this past Sunday night.

Don't get worried here!  I think he was trying to figure out what the cake was supposed to be.  Susanna had us looking twice as to what it was but it's a car just so you all know.  We love you, Susanna!! :)

Parties are a good time to catch up on life.

I just love my Grandpa!

Susanna explaining something and it looks like her husband is a little bored!  jk!  I know your not supposed to post pics where you catch the person with their eyes closed but I don't care.

Dad entertained us with stories most of the evening.  He's always been a good story teller!

Christmas time is nearing!  We get all kinds of catalogs in the mail this time of year and almost every other page I find something that I like and I want it. Maybe if I show it to one of my siblings maybe they'll buy it for me! ;)

Just love having a wood burner.
